भारतीय दंड संहिता 1860 की धारा 26 के अनुसार,
‘विश्वास करने का कारण’ — कोई व्यक्ति किसी बात के ‘विश्वास करने का कारण’ रखता है, यह तब कहा जाता है, जब वह उस बात के विश्वास करने का पर्याप्त हेतुक रखता है, अन्यथा नहीं।
According to Section 26 of the Indian Penal Code 1860,
“Reason to believe” — A person is said to have “reason to believe” a thing, if he has sufficient cause to believe that thing but not otherwise.
